Beth El is a pluralistic and diverse congregation welcoming all who wish to enjoy an enriching experience through spiritual growth, observances, and mitzvoth. We seek to create a Kehilla, a Jewish village, molding responsible citizens of our local communities and the larger world.

Margie Satinsky has been an opera devotee since 1976. She has attended more than 100 performances at the Metropolitan Opera and throughout the world. She has taught opera appreciation classes at OLLI at Duke for many years and is the President of the Triangle Wagner Society. La Juive (The Jewess) is a grand opera in five acts by Fromental Halévy to an original French libretto by Eugène Scribe; it was first performed at the Opéra, Paris, in 1835.Margie Satinsky has been an opera devotee since 1976.
