10th grade calendar – coming soon!
Students take field trips to various religious institutions around the community, exploring their theology and rituals
Every 5th week, students will rejoin the other Community Midrasha students for our Sunday evening program. They will have a comparative religion discussion with faculty and others from the religious communities.
In February, March, and April, students will visit the synagogues in Durham and Chapel Hill and have a round table discussion with community rabbis.
Social action projects and events complement the curriculum, including:
- Martin Luther King Day of Service
- L’Taken social action seminar
- Other service projects such as mishloach manot packing, racial equity forums, and more
Please note: For Judea Reform confirmation students, taking part in Midrasha is the academic portion of Confirmation, and is a prerequisite. In the spring, students have a few extra meetings with the Rabbis to prepare to lead the Kabbalat Torah service. Please contact Judea Reform to enroll in Confirmation.
