The mission of the Israel Center is to strengthen Jewish identity and community by promoting meaningful relationships between people and communities in Israel and those in the greater Durham and Chapel Hill region.
The Israel Center has a wide range of offerings throughout the year, which means many ways for you to get involved. If you love to read, consider participating in the Israeli Author book club, which meets approximately every 6 weeks and participants can read the chosen book in either Hebrew or English. If films are more your thing, then the Israel Center will welcome you at one of the Movie nights where Israeli films are screened.
Family-focused programming is another important feature of the Israel Center where events take place around the holidays such as Israel Festival/Yom Ha’Atzmaut and Yom Ha’Zikaron. Throughout the year the Israel Center offers children’s Hebrew classes for native Israeli speakers, and other activities.
Israel is 70! Join us all year long!
