Chaverim means ‘friends’ in Hebrew and is an opportunity for older adults to socialize and to preserve their connection to the Jewish community. Chaverim goes from 11am-1pm (programs are scheduled from 11am-12pm, and lunch is served from 12-1 pm). Transportation is available upon request.


JFS Memory Cafe

This program provides a time and space for individuals who are experiencing memory problems and their loved ones to get out of the house and engage in a fun and mentally stimulating activity. Memory Café brings together groups of people with a common issue and engage in supportive social interactions.  Participants have the opportunity to meet new people and form new friendships to support one another. It is a time to gather for activities, conversation, coffee and food. There is no charge to participate, although donations are welcome.

When: First Thursday of each month from 10:00 to noon

Produce in the JFS Food Pantry

Jewish Family Services (JFS) is now offering fresh produce in our food pantry to individuals and families who are experiencing food insecurity. This is made possible through collaboration with Farmer Foodshare.

Care Partner Support Group

Jewish Family Services (JFS) offers a safe place for caregivers of loved ones with dementia or other chronic illnesses to speak, share ideas, offer support, and provide resources to individuals in a confidential environment. Every fourth Wednesday of the month, from 12:30pm-2pm, a JFS social worker facilitates a support group at the Levin JCC. Please feel free to join the group or to recommend this free support program to others who might benefit from a shared supportive environment. Bring your lunch!

Increase your circulation by learning breathing techniques and exploring gentle movement accompanied by music from “back in the day.” By Rebecca Grossfeld, JCC massage therapist and personal trainer.
