You don’t have to be Jewish to sing with the Triangle Jewish Chorale! If you are a Junior or Senior in High School, undergrad or grad university student and you are interested in singing Jewish-inspired music in various genres and languages, we are seeking voices to join the chorale (in particular tenors and basses). Our conductor, Dr. Lorena Guillen, will hold auditions for all applicants on the evenings of Jan. 16 and 23, 2018. The TJC will offer scholarships (fee waiver plus stipend) to the selected students, provided they can commit to attending Tuesday evening rehearsals (6:45 TO 8:45 PM) at the Levin JCC in Durham, and to singing our May 2018 concert. Triangle Jewish Chorale: Folk Songs from Jewish Traditions

December 10, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - December 10, 2017 @ 5:00 pm

Presents Folk Songs from Jewish Traditions

Jews have been singing for millennia, wherever they have found a home. Their songs have been heard not only in synagogues but also around campfires, in theaters, alongside babies’ cribs, at the golden stones of Jerusalem.  The Triangle Jewish Chorale lifts its voices in Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino, and English to offer a range of songs that have, over time, come to be considered the music of the people — folk music.

Sunday Dec. 10, 3:00 p.m. at Temple Beth Or

5315 Creedmoor Rd.   Raleigh, NC 27612
